WOODSTOCK – The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County will hold their annual winter Used Book Sale from Thursday through Saturday in conjunction with Groundhog Days.

The sale will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with evening hours until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Woodstock Square Mall building, 110 S. Johnson St., lower level, on the Woodstock Square.

Thursday, most books will be $2 for hardcovers and $1 for paperbacks. On Friday, it will be $1 for hardcovers, 50 cents for paperbacks. Saturday, all books will be $5 per paper grocery bag and $3 per plastic grocery bag. Books include children’s books, popular fiction, science, biography and everything in between.

Donations of resellable books are accepted year round at the Defenders’ office or their “Green Spot” used book store, also in the Woodstock Square Mall building on the main floor.
