Undersheriff takes part in training focused on protecting children

WOODSTOCK – McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Andrew Zinke recently attended a two-day seminar in Virginia focused on missing and sexually exploited children.

The Chief Executive Officer Training Seminar took place Sunday and Monday at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children located just outside the nation’s capital in Alexandria, Va.

The training seminar was specifically designed for law enforcement executives and 911 emergency center managers, according to a news release. It focused on how to deal with a child who has been reported missing.

Zinke, who received an invitation to attend, is now one of more than 5,000 executives who have completed the training.

All travel and lodging expenses during the training were covered by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through a grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency.
