LAKE IN THE HILLS – Sandy Oslance, president of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce, recently accepted a $500 check from Mark Michalak, owner of Jersey Mike’s Subs in Lake in the Hills benefiting the Chamber Foundation, which awards two $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors each year.     
 
During the Jersey Mike's three-day fundraiser, the chamber distributed Jersey Mike’s coupons for free regular sub with every $2 donation.

"The fundraiser was very successful for both of us – raising $500 towards the scholarships and introducing Jersey Mike's to the local chamber members," Oslance said. “Not only did we have the support of our members and their families, we had tremendous support from area residents.”

Scholarship applications are now available online at www.ALChamber.com. Applicant must be a high school senior residing in Algonquin, Lake in the Hills or has immediate family employed by a business member of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce.  All applications must be received in the chamber office by March 30.
