A traffic crash led to the sheriff's office arresting a Crystal Lake man on drug charges.

Lazarus D. Larkin, 23, was involved in a traffic crash at Route 31 and Gracy Road in Prairie Grove. He was headed north on Route 31 about 3 a.m. Saturday when he struck a southbound vehicle, the McHenry County Sheriff's office said in a news release. Larkin's vehicle ended up in a ditch.

Police said Larkin had a warrant for failure to appear on a previous marijuana charge. Deputies also found Larkin was in possession of marijuana smoking pipes, a scale and a grinder, the news release said.
