Fundraiser to benefit Huntley Community Radio

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Volunteers at Huntley Community Radio will be acting as servers Monday at the Culiver's Restaurant for a fundraiser.

A portion of the sales generated at Culiver's, 13240 Rte. 47, Huntley, from 4 to 8 p.m. will go toward the local, public radio station originally created by a group of Sun City residents. Volunteers will be on hand to serve customers their food.

The station officially launched in 2012 on the Internet, www.huntleyradio.com, to provide news and entertainment programming for the Huntley area. The station also will try to apply to the FCC later this year for a low-power FM station license.
