The area is under a wind advisory until 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The area is expected to see winds out of the west and southwest between 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph.
The very strong winds could result in minor property damage and make hazardous travel conditions.
Today’s forecast includes a 30 percent chance of snow and temperatures in the low to mid 30s.
