Crystal Lake Chili Open canceled

CRYSTAL LAKE – Crystal Lake Park District Chili Open Golf Classic scheduled for Saturday on Crystal Lake has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

The annual event was originally scheduled for Jan. 19 but moved to Saturday in hopes that the ice would be in better condition.

But park officials today said Ice conditions continue to deteriorate making it unsafe to complete any course preparations. Any registered golfers will receive a full refund. For more information contact Connie Cooke at (815) 459-0680 ext. 213.
