Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The Bears announced Tuesday that they have terminated the contract of wide receiver Johnny Knox.

Knox spent last season on the physically unable to perform list due to a back injury he suffered in Week 15 of the 2011 season against Seattle.

Before his injury, the 2009 fifth-round draft pick started in 27 of 45 games with the Bears. He had 133 receptions for 2,214 yards and 12 touchdowns. Knox also had 1,506 yards on 55 kickoff returns with one touchdown.

Knox earned a spot in the Pro Bowl in 2009 as a returner.
