McHENRY - The roadway near the Charles Miller Road bridge in McHenry has reopened, according to authorities.

Motorists were forced to use an alternate route on Charles Miller Road for more than 20 minutes after a construction crane fell on the east side of the bridge, blocking traffic, McHenry County Sheriff's Office Deputy Aimee Knop said.

The crane fell after malfunctioning while crews worked on the north side of the bridge, she said. No one was injured and no vehicles were damaged.
