St. John School receives $500 grant for programs

JOHNSBURG – St. John the Baptist Catholic School was awarded $500 to advance its education programs.

The school partnered with Sunnyside Little Store, a Mobil gas station and convenience store in Johnsburg, to apply for the grant through ExxonMobil’s Educational Alliance Program, according to a news release.

Johnsburg schools have applied for the grant for the past 13 years and received thousands of dollars that have gone to improve athletic facilities, Johnsburg Junior High School’s outdoor club, new computers and other programs, the release said.
