McHenry man faces drug-related charges

WOODSTOCK – A McHenry man faces drug-related charges after he was found with more than 500 grams of cannabis, according to the McHenry Sheriff’s Office.

Michael A. Damore, 26, was charged Wednesday with felony counts of possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver and possession of cannabis.

Deputies were granted permission Wednesday to search Damore’s home at 1732 Court St. after they received a tip that he was selling cannabis around McHenry, according to a news release. Approximately 500 grams of cannabis and $10,000 in cash was recovered during the search.

The cannabis was worth approximately $4,000.

Damore has since been released from the McHenry County Jail after posting 10 percent of his $25,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 20.
