To the Editor:

I, Annette Brefeld-Mavec, family child care provider, director at Cuddly Lamb Child Care, and citizen concerned for the well-being of McHenry, urges City Council approval of Thornton’s gas station at Richmond Road (Route 31) and Pearl Street.

Supervision of nearby Montini grade school children at that intersection is taking place by parents and teachers and will continue. Fuel tax revenue will fund improvements for the city. New jobs will give people a means to be self-sufficient and/or provide for their families.
