The Crystal Lake Central boys basketball team defeated Grayslake North, 55-54, to remain tied with Hampshire at the top of the FVC Fox
Division.

Brad Knoeppel hit a 15-foot shot off a ball screen with 25 seconds left to give the Tigers (22-3, 10-2) the lead. Central’s defense held tough, holding the Knights through three out-of-bounds plays, two free throws and three timeouts over the remaining seconds.

Corban Murphy and Jake VanScoyoc each had 14 points for the Tigers.
