The Crystal Lake Central boys basketball team defeated Grayslake North, 55-54, to remain tied with Hampshire at the top of the FVC Fox Division.

Brad Knoeppel hit a 15-foot shot off a ball screen with 25 seconds left to give the Tigers (22-3, 10-2) the lead. Central’s defense held tough, holding the Knights through three out-of-bounds plays, two free throws and three timeouts over the remaining seconds.

Corban Murphy and Jake VanScoyoc each had 14 points for the Tigers.

Hampshire 62, Woodstock 45: At Hampshire, the Whip-Purs stayed tied with CL Central for the FVC Fox Division lead with the win.

Tyler Crater scored 27 points to lead Hampshire (21-4, 9-2), with Shane Hernandez scoring 13 and Mike Dumoulin adding 12.

Jordan Turner scored 14 point to lead the Blue Streaks (17-9, 7-5).

Huntley 42, Cary-Grove 27: At Huntley, the Red Raiders clinched their third straight FVC Valley Division title.

Amanze Egekeze led Huntley (17-7, 11-1) with 24 points, going 7 for 7 on free throws.

Matt Motzel and Dean Lee each scored seven points to lead the Trojans (11-14, 3-9).

Jacobs 70, Prairie Ridge 48: Lake Ojo paced a balanced Golden Eagles’ scoring attack with 17 points to go along with 15 from Will Schwerdtmann and 11 from Nick Ledinsky.

Jacobs (15-13, 8-4 FVC Valley) jumped out to a 22-8 lead after the first quarter and never allowed its cushion to drop under double-digits.

The Wolves (8-16, 5-7 Valley) were led by Steven Ticknor (11 points) and Ryan Gilbert (10).

Richmond-Burton 54, Harvard 31: At Richmond, the Rockets (11-15, 8-2) scored 29 points in the second quarter of their BNC East win, with Brian Wells and Sam Kaufman each leading R-B with 13 points.

Tate Miller led the Hornets (7-17, 1-8) with 11 points.

Woodstock North 67, Grayslake Central 53: At Woodstock, Nick Herscha led the Thunder with 24 points and Steven Whting added 21, as Woodstock North (9-16, 3-8) scored 23 points in the final quarter of their FVC Fox win.

Alden-Hebron 54, Faith Lutheran 38: At Hebron, the Giants (11-15) outscored the Saints 29-18 over the final half in a non-conference win.

Ben Boyer led Faith Lutheran (7-20) with 16 points and Matt Van Antwerp added 10.
