Fox River Shiver March 10 at Broken Oark
PORT BARRINGTON – The inaugural Fox River Shiver will begin at noon March 10 at Broken Oar Beach, 614 Rawson Bridge Road, Port Barrington.
Costume-clad teams will brave the icy waters of the lower Fox River to help raise money for One Small Voice Foundation to benefit Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
A VIP pre-party for the registered participants begins at noon at Broken Oar, followed by a parade to the beach for the 2 p.m. "plunge." An after party with live entertainment will follow.
