WOODSTOCK – State Treasurer Dan Rutherford will be in Woodstock today to reveal the latest technology tool for Illinoisans to help reunite people with their unclaimed cash or other assets.

Rutherford is encouraging McHenry County residents to try out this tool at his I-Cash event at from 9 to 11 a.m. at the McHenry County Treasurer’s Office, 2100 Seminary Ave., Woodstock. Rutherford and McHenry County Treasurer Bill LeFew will speak at 10 a.m.

Visitors will determine whether the state is holding any money or unclaimed property belonging to them. According to the January list of unclaimed property holders, 104,895 owners in McHenry County have $19,422,314 in unclaimed property.

The I-Cash program helps reunite owners with their unclaimed property.
