Former constituents disappointed in Jackson Jr.

CHICAGO (AP) — Residents in former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s Chicago-area district say they're disappointed in how his long-time political career ended.

Jackson pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Washington federal court to misuse of campaign funds. He's accused of spending $750,000 of campaign money for personal use including a designer watch and furs.

The Chicago Democrat resigned in November. Many residents in his district just shook their heads. His district includes neighborhoods on the city's South Side.

One called it a "sad commentary" on Chicago politics. Others say they're just disappointed.

Thirty-two-year-old Pnakara (pah KARA') Nealy says she believes many others have been guilty of the same crime but Jackson got caught.
