MCC will host 2013 Midwest Strength and Conditioning Clinic
CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College will host the 2013 Midwest Strength and Conditioning Clinic from 8 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. March 16 in the Luecht Conference Center at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.
The keynote speaker will be Al Johnson, assistant director of football performance at Northwestern University. He will present “Motivating Today’s Athletes to Reach the Top.” Johnson has more than 25 years of experience as a strength coach for teams including West Virginia, Ohio State and the Baltimore Orioles. He has coached more than 120 players drafted into the NFL, as well as MLB Hall of Famer Cal Ripken.
The clinic will feature workshops on cutting-edge strength training for adults and high school athletes, the latest trends in nutrition, legal issues in the fitness profession, the latest trends in nutrition, indoor rowing training and small group exercise instruction.
