Stand up for rights
To the editor:
The promise of this nation certainly is great, but the reality sometimes is wanting.
If a drone strike is made trying to kill a terrorist and there are civilian casualties, we call it “collateral damage.” What if the story was about our Air Force bombing a house in Marengo because it was thought a terrorist was inside? Would any civilians killed in the area be considered “collateral damage?” If it’s wrong to kill civilians in this country, then it’s wrong to kill them anywhere.
