MCC sets Shipshewana Amish Tour in May

CRYSTAL LAKE – Discover old-fashioned culture, enjoy hearty dining and visit quaint shops with a McHenry County College’s Trips and Tours program adventure to Shipshewana, Ind., on May 14-15.

This two-day tour features shopping at the Midwest’s Largest Outdoor Flea Market with more than 1,000 vendors, and a stay at the Essenhaus Inn in Middlebury. Enjoy in-home Amish dining while conversing with the family and being served a Threshers meal.

Visitors also will tour a historic water-powered flour mill.

The trip departs from MCC at 5:45 a.m. May 14 and returns about 8 p.m. May 15.

The cost of this trip is $299 for a single and $249 per person for doubles. Included are three meals (box lunch from the Bread Box Bakery, continental breakfast and Threshers meal), overnight accommodations at the Essenhaus Inn, tour escort, deluxe motor coach and baggage handling.
