PEKIN, Ill. (AP) — Police in the central Illinois town of Pekin say three people found dead of gunshot wounds may have died in a double homicide-suicide.
Pekin Police Public Information Officer Don Jolly told the Pekin Daily Times (http://bit.ly/YsofEK ) that investigators are not looking for any suspects in the deaths. The town is just south of Peoria.
The bodies were found in a Pekin home Sunday night. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the three people.
It isn't clear how long the people had been dead. Autopsies are planned for Tuesday.
Jolly says police found the bodies after a relative of the couple who lived in the home asked them to check on their welfare.
