Mental Health first aid training offered

CRYSTAL LAKE – The McHenry County Mental Health Board, NAMI McHenry County and Families ETC offer free Mental Health First Aid training focused on individuals who exhibit warning signs of mental health problems.

Mental Health First Aid is a public education program that helps in learning to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

This training helps participants identify potential warning signs and risk factors for a range of mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, eating disorders, substance use and self-injury.
