Fender, Klemm, Jennings win supervisor races
Three township supervisor primaries were decided Tuesday night in an election with light voter turnout across the county.
Huntley Village Board member Pam Fender won the primary for Grafton supervisor, collecting 780 votes. The former Grafton administrator bested her rival and incumbent Supervisor Linda Moore, who tallied 598 votes, according to unofficial results but with all precincts and early votes counted. Challenger Martin Waitzman finished in second, ahead of Moore, with 618 votes.
In the race for Algonquin Township supervisor, incumbent Diane Klemm held off her primary challenger, collecting 777 votes. Former McHenry County Board member Marc Munaretto received 622 votes.
