Woodstock Professional and Business Women offer scholarship

The Woodstock Professional and Business Women organization is offering women in the Woodstock area an opportunity to win a Francis Kuhn Scholarship for education.

The scholarship was named for a former WPBW member and late mayor of Woodstock. It will be awarded to deserving women entering college on a full- or part-time basis. Applicants must be 22 or older and live within the District 200 school boundaries to be eligible to compete for the $,1000 scholarship which can be used for tuition, books, or other expenses related to ongoing education.

The WPBW participates in the Christmas Clearing House and offers support to women in achieving business and educational goals. Funds raised by the WPBW Garden Walk are used to provide scholarship opportunities for Woodstock women planning to begin or continue their education goals.
