Letters to the Editor

Who’s being one-sided?

To the Editor:

In response to your article, “Ellis supporters: County Board should keep him” (Feb. 23), I would like to thank Joe Gottemoller and Donna Kurtz for not bowing to political trickery and pressure to influence the voting for appointees to the McHenry County Mental Health Board.

I do not thank Bob Martens, Linda Mix, Thomas Webb and Tina Hill for their disservice to this community for attempting to keep in power Lee Ellis, an individual who is suspiciously invested in a volunteer position. Something is clearly wrong here.

Thank you, Kevin Craver, for keeping the public informed. While you are criticized for being one-sided, I have found you anything but. Your journalistic credentials and awards also attest to your ability to present fair and balanced reporting.

Is it that those who want to cover something up only want their one-sided version told?
