15-year sentence for attack on Hebron man

WOODSTOCK – A man on parole following a seven-year sentence for a Lake County drug case has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after police said he was involved in an attack on a Hebron man.

Tywon T. Williams, 25, pleaded guilty on Monday to attempted armed robbery. He was paroled in January 2012, but is listed by the Illinois Department of Corrections as an absconder.

The victim, who also is on parole following a 24-year sentence for a separate drug case, did not know Williams or two teens who were involved, said McHenry County Assistant State's Attorney David Metnick.
