Misguided letter

To the Editor:

I take exception to Patrick Murfin’s comments on the Opinion page on Feb. 28. I don’t know if his church follows the Holy Bible, but it clearly states that marriage is designed for a man and a woman for companionship and to populate the world.

Christian churches have the right to their beliefs as well as Murfin’s belief that anyone can marry anyone. And if we still are allowed free speech, the Northwest Herald is within its rights as well. So, Mr. Murfin, I suggest you read one of those other newspapers.
