Police seek robbery suspect

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Crystal Lake Police Department is asking for any information about a robbery over the weekend.

At 12:23 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, a subject entered The Cash Store at 1125 S. Route 31, and demanded money. The subject did not display a weapon, authorities said, but he threatened the lives of the store employees.

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene in what is believed to be a dark colored Dodge Mini-van or Durango.

He was described as black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 230 pounds. He was wearing a gray pull-over hooded sweatshirt, blue denim carpenter style pants, tan work boots, a black knit mask, and black gloves.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and filing of criminal charges against offenders.
