End collective bargaining

To the Editor:

Is anyone fooled by our Legislature’s humorous attempts at fixing the pension obligation shortfall in this ludicrous state of ours? Do any of you really believe that those who themselves are party to the problem, themselves guaranteed a pension that cannot be diminished, will vote in favor of lowering those of others? It would be akin to signing their own political death certificate.

They will continue to debate the issue; remedies will be found and then discarded due to constitutionality; and any legislation passed will be either meaningless or so watered down as to be nearly that. And in the meantime, we will sink deeper into debt.
