Good choices

To the Editor:

When I think McHenry, I think Jeff Schaefer. Schaefer holds many titles: son, husband, father, uncle, but when I think of his title, it is friend. That’s why I endorse him for Third Ward alderman in McHenry.

Schaefer is personable and cares. His involvement in his church, school and kids' activities is second to none. You often will see Schaefer at a sporting, community or school event, or even just walking down the streets of McHenry talking to people or discussing their issues. His presence in the community is noticeable and he cares.

Not only is he a McHenry native, but he has the experience and knowledge it takes to continue taking McHenry down its path to success. Schaefer does his research on issues. He has taken the time during these tough economic times to watch spending and make good choices when it comes to being responsible for your tax dollars so that McHenry continues to thrive.
