Fundraiser set for fire explorer programs

SPRING GROVE – A pancake breakfast March 24 will raise money for the Spring Grove Fire Protection District’s Explorer Post 1800 and its annual trip.

The program is for young adults between the ages of 15 and 21 who are interested in becoming firefighters. Each year, cadets attend a training weekend at the University of Illinois.

The fundraiser will run from 8 a.m. to noon March 24 at the fire station, 8214 Richardson Road, Spring Grove.

Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
