To the Editor:
I admire state Rep. Jack Franks focusing on the pension issue largely due to the irresponsible behavior of the one-sided, Democratic-controlled state government and its failure to do what is right. Democrats own this mess.
But it appears Franks is too busy to discuss other issues.
Many of his constituents have been trying to contact him concerning our deep convictions about the redefinition of marriage. We went to Springfield to see him; we have gone to his local office to see him; we have called him and given him hundreds of signatures opposing the redefinition of marriage. But he has just been too busy to hear us. His poor staff promised he would get back to us, but he has been just too busy. Is he too busy to talk to us or is it the issue he is avoiding?
Jack Franks, come out of hiding and be the state representative you were elected to be. Serve the best interests of the people. The social consequences of ignoring this issue will be devastating on future generations.
Or are you too just busy?
