McHENRY – Two men who left a stolen van at the scene of a residential burglary in a McHenry subdivision this week have been arrested, according to McHenry police.

Jacob S. Muckelvaney, 18, was charged Wednesday with felony counts of residential burglary, criminal damage to property and possession of a stolen vehicle. Anthony T. Wade, 19, was charged with felony residential burglary.

Officers responded to a home in the Deerwood subdivision Monday afternoon after a report of a residential burglary in progress, according to the McHenry Police Department. The offenders ran away as authorities arrived.

A van left near the home was identified as stolen, police said, and Muckelvaney and Wade were later linked to the burglary. Both were being held Thursday at the McHenry County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
