Dixon scores 18, but Iowa falls to Nebraska
HOFFMAN ESTATES – Jordan Hooper scored 24 points to lead No. 21 Nebraska to a 76-61 victory over Iowa in the Big Ten women's basketball tournament quarterfinals Friday.
Theairra Taylor scored 22 points to lead Iowa (20-12), and Johnsburg High School graduate Melissa Dixon scored 18 points for the Hawkeyes.
Lindsey Moore had 13 points and six assists, and Emily Cady had eight rebounds and six assists for the Huskers (23-7), the second seed in the tournament.
