Friends to host book sale at Algonquin library

ALGONQUIN – The Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library will host their Spring Book Sale from Thursday to Sunday at the library’s Eastgate Branch, 115 Eastgate Drive.

The Friends of the Library raises money through three book sales a year and the in-house Book Nook. All the money collected directly benefits the library.

All of the sales are listed and consistently rated “exceptional” on Book Sale Finder.

Some 30,000 items are ready for browsing. A “Book Bistro” hospitality room next door allows shoppers to take a break. Gift books and jigsaw puzzles will be available to buy.

The sale will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. There will be a $10 entry fee per person on this day only.

The sale will continue from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Sunday is half-price day.
