Illinois AG hasn't decided on 2014 governor's race
SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan says she hasn't made up her mind yet on a 2014 gubernatorial run.
Madigan told reporters Wednesday that she really enjoys her current job. She said she doesn't have a timeline for when she'll make her decision.
If Madigan enters the race, it could prove a difficult Democratic primary for Gov. Pat Quinn, who said he'll seek re-election. Former White House chief of staff Bill Daley is also weighing a run. Several Republicans, including Congressman Aaron Schock and state Treasurer Dan Rutherford, are also considering it.
Madigan is the daughter of House Speaker Michael Madigan, who is head of the Democratic Party in Illinois.
He told reporters Wednesday that he doesn't know where his daughter is in her decision process.
