Interactive workshop planned at Center for Spiritual Evolution

The Rev. Jerry Troyer will present his interactive workshop, “It’s My Story And It’s Sticking To Me,” from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Center for Spiritual Evolution, 204 Spring St.

This workshop, based on Troyer's new book  “Coming Out to Ourselves, Admitting, Accepting, and Embracing Who We Truly Are,” invites, encourages and even challenges participants to go inside and begin to identify beliefs and feelings that no longer serve them.

The book will be available for purchase.

Beliefs, feelings and attitudes influence choices and decisions, and some came from childhood experiences. Feeling stuck in any area of one's life probably is the result of outdated information. When one changes perceptions and judgments, one starts healing the cause of the negative and destructive feelings within – which many believe are at the core of all forms of substance abuse (food, drugs, alcohol, spending, hurtful relationships) – and begin to make life choices that really are in one's best interests.

The suggested donation to attend the workshop is $20 or two people for $35.

For information, call the center at 847-516-1950.
