HUNTLEY – A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. will arrive April 1 to review the Huntley Police Department’s policy and procedures, management, operations and support services, Police Chief John Perkins said in a news release.

Verification by the team that the Huntley Police Department meets the commission’s standards is part of the voluntary process to keep accreditation – a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.

Agencies nationally accredited in McHenry County include the McHenry County Sheriff’s office, McHenry Police Department, Huntley Police Department and the Crystal Lake Police Department.
