Empty businesses

To the Editor:

Last year, Mayor Sue Low and her administration proclaimed in the Northwest Herald a new effort was being made to revitalize the business area on Route 120 (Elm Street) west of Route 31. Little did we know the city meant to add a pawn shop and a cash loan store on Elm.

While some residents need these types of service, aren’t there enough already? We need businesses that will bring strong influences to this area. Now that the flea markets may close because of harsh conditions placed upon them by the city, along with the mattress store closing and fast-food store closed, there are empty businesses all over.
