Flood advisory issued for Fox River
A flood advisory has been issued for the Fox River, according to the National Weather Service.
Recent rains combined with melting snow have caused the water levels to rise along the Fox River near Algonquin, according to the weather service. The increase could affect Kane and McHenry counties.
Levels had reached approximately 8.9 feet as of 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Levels that reach 9 feet are considered the action stage. Those that reach 9.5 feet or more are considered the flooding stage.
