WOODSTOCK – The Land Conservancy of McHenry County’s annual “Safe Use of Prescribed Fire Workshop for Landowners and Volunteers” will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 23.

Registration is $20 for TLC members, $35 for nonmembers and $10 for TLC volunteers and firefighters. Lunch is included with the registration.

The course covers the basics of ecological fire management, equipment needs and safety in a morning classroom session, and then after lunch, the group will head out to conduct a training burn if weather permits. Equipment will be provided.
