WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Industry is now accepting applications for the 2013 Miss Woodstock Scholarship Pageant. This is the 65th year for the pageant.
All applications must be mailed or delivered to the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Industry by March 28.
Applications are available online at www.woodstockilchamber.com or by visiting the Woodstock chamber at 136 Cass St.
The winner of the Miss Woodstock pageant will receive a $2,000 educational scholarship, or a $2,000 savings bond if she chooses not to continue her education.
The first runner-up will receive a $1,000 savings bond, and the second runner-up will receive a $500 savings bond. There also will be prizes for Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, and a talent scholarship.
All pageant contestants receive a pageant T-shirt, sponsor banner, and gift package. There is a $50 application fee; contestants must live within the boundaries of Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 and be between the ages of 17 and 21.
The pageant will take place May 31 at the Woodstock Opera House.
