Governor to talk anti-violence at Chicago churches

CHICAGO (AP) — Gov. Pat Quinn plans to spend another Sunday at Chicago houses of worship talking about anti-violence efforts.

The Chicago Democrat is expected at United Missionary Baptist Church, New Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church and Chicago Sinai Congregation

Quinn's office says he'll focus on addressing violence prevention at the churches and later in the day he'll be advocating for gun legislation at the national and state levels. Other public officials, including congressmen and state lawmakers are expected to attend the event.
