MCC to offer spring art classes

CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College’s Continuing Education Department is accepting registration for three art classes:

• One Stroke Painting – Roses: Participants will paint a rose with many layers, variations and colors. At the end of the class, participants will have completed a painted terra cotta pot. Bring One Stroke brushes to class. All other supplies are included. The class will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday in Room D158. The cost is $29. Use course ID: NFA S89 003 when registering.

• One Stroke Painting – Festival of Flowers: In this six-week class, participants will learn to paint year-round flowers using the One Stroke technique. Projects that will be completed throughout the course include a terra cotta pot, a wood picture frame and a canvas work of art. Bring One Stroke brushes to class. All other supplies are included. The class will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays, April 5 through May 10, in Room D160. The cost is $99. Use course ID: NFA S90 004 when registering.

• Draw Nature: Learn to draw detailed plants and animals from photo reference. Follow along with instructor demos, then choose a subject to draw with instructor assistance. The class will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, April 13 through May 4, in Room D154. The cost is $99. Use course ID: NFA S57 004 when registering.
