Cary board to vote on outside seating rules
CARY – The Village Board is scheduled today to vote on updated rules for restaurants and taverns with outdoor seating.
Under the proposed changes to the Outdoor Seating ordinance, establishments directly adjacent to residential areas, would not be allowed to have music audible at the property line, lighting has to be shielded, and activities other than outdoor seating and dining have to cease by 10 p.m. and no alcohol would be allowed in areas other than the outdoor seating space.
If passed, fines for violating the ordinance would range from $75 to $750.
