Harvard mayor: Nolan
Incumbent Harvard Mayor Jay Nolan is being challenged by lifelong resident William Parker in the April 9 Consolidated Municipal election.
Nolan, who is seeking his third term as mayor, previously served on the City Council and as chairman of the Harvard Economic Development Corp.
Nolan has led the village during tough economic times. He and the City Council made tough but appropriate budget cuts during the Great Recession to maintain a balanced budget each year. The city also was able to renovate Main Street and attract new businesses to town.
