MCC to request watershed deferment tonight

CRYSTAL LAKE – A representative from McHenry County College is expected to be at the Crystal Lake City Council tonight.

Among many other agenda items, MCC President Vicky Smith is expected to answer questions on behalf of the college's request to defer requirements of the city's watershed ordinance. The college is looking to repair its deteriorating parking lots B and D, and is asking that requirements for filtration on impervious surfaces be deferred for eight year, or when the next phase of its master plan is implemented, whichever is first.

City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 100 W. Woodstock St. MCC also has a committee of the whole meeting at 6 p.m. tonight, which Smith is expected to leave that meeting early.
