Symposium at MCC to teach about colon health
McHENRY – Those interested in learning more about colon health are invited to attend a free discussion, “The Ins & Outs of Good Colon Health,” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 3 at McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.
“Participants will learn about what makes for a healthy colon, how that leads to improved overall health and wellness, and how to prevent, detect and treat cancers in the colon and rectum,” said Dr. Geoffrey Smoron, Centegra’s community cancer liaison physician and independent radiation oncologist on staff at Centegra Health System, in a news release.
Smoron will join Dr. Terrence Bugno, an independent radiation oncologist, and Dr. Chad Spangler, an independent gastroenterologist, on staff at Centegra Health System. They will discuss recent insights about colon health and the current state of colon and rectal cancer in McHenry County.
