The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free public Meet the Candidates event at 7 p.m. April 4 at the Cary Park District Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.

The event is an opportunity to meet candidates running for Cary village mayor and the Cary Park District board member seats in the April 9 election. Candidates will share their take on the issues and be open to questions from the audience. 

Candidates participating in the forum include the two candidates running for Cary mayor, Bruce Kaplan and Mark Kownick. The forum also will include the three candidates running for two open seats for the Cary Park District board, Mike Renner, Patrick Smith and Phil Stanko.
