JOHNSBURG – District 12 will sponsor a Parent and Child Wellness Fair that will address critical health topics and provide advice and suggestions for how to raise a healthy child in today’s society.

The free event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6 and is open to the public.

This event will host several speakers, including a keynote presentation from Dr. Anthony Ebel, whose topic is “How are we making our kids so sick?” Ebel also will host two breakout sessions – “Building a Strong Brain” and “Building a Strong Immune System.”

Other presentations include Dawn Nendze, on strategies for reducing risky behaviors; Dr. Frederick Hult, on allergies and diseases; and Mark Myers, on anger management for teenagers.

Local businesses also will display information about their products and services. A light lunch and child care for children ages 3 to 12 years old will be offered at no charge.
