LAKE IN THE HILLS – In 12 short weeks, schools will be out and summer will be here.

The Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department’s Funtasticamp is a full-day (pre-kindergarten through eighth grade) camp that is staffed with experienced camp counselors. Campers will enjoy one field trip per week, several afternoons per week swimming, along with fun daily activities.

The department is providing parents an opportunity to register for the summer camp and save some money. Early bird registration runs through April 30 and is $131 a week for residents, a 10 percent savings each week. Nonresident and nomad camp rates are higher.

Funtasticamp begins the week of June 3 and runs through Aug. 16. Registration is available online at www.lith.org and at the Parks and Recreation Department, 600 Harvest Gate.
